"I Giorni" Calendar is a desk-sized manifesto commissioned by Quadro to condense within a small object of everyday use the greatness of its production quality.
Finemateria sees in the perpetual analog calendar the best product to do this and provides its own interpretation by showing the material exaltation and precision achieved in the advanced and meticulous manufacturing techniques that the company has refined on the material. So Quadro’s products are summed up in the cylindrical form of three steel bodies supported by an ash wood base and allowed to rotate freely on themselves. The object, in fact, is designed to trigger an interaction with the user by making him the subject capable of actively marking the passage of time day after day. What is created is a repeated physical connection, the direct way to convey the features of the material through tactile, visual and auditory perception. It’s the material itself that takes the stage and speaks to those who touch, observe and listen to it.
